The Ukrainian Association of Business Support Centers (UABSC) is a non-profit network dedicated to strengthening the capacity, competitiveness, and long-term resilience of Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises. Founded in 2001, UABSC works across the whole of Southern Ukraine — building partnerships, developing regions, and creating the conditions for sustainable business growth.
Over the past three years, UABSC has implemented more than 40 projects in the region, including a growing portfolio of eight Interreg cross-border cooperation initiatives. The Association has issued over 500 grants to entrepreneurs, employers, and innovators, and supported the launch of more than 200 new businesses across Southern Ukraine.
Sustainability sits at the core of UABSC’s mission. The Association is a driving force behind the blue economy in Southern Ukraine — helping businesses adopt sustainable maritime and coastal practices, supporting smart specialization strategies for the region, and building industry clusters from aquaculture to tourism. This same commitment to sustainable, responsible business underpins UABSC’s role in the SUSTAIN-2 project, where it works to advance ESG practices among small and medium-sized food and beverage enterprises.
Beyond individual enterprises, UABSC is a driving force behind the economic recovery of communities and territories — restoring livelihoods in war-affected areas, strengthening local value chains, and positioning Southern Ukraine for long-term, sustainable, and internationally integrated growth.
