Kentaş, as a subsidiary company of Üsküdar Municipality, carries out its activities in the fields of Project Development, Urban Technologies, R&D and Urban Transformation for the benefit of the residents of Üsküdar.
Üsküdar is a district located as a bridge at the central point of the transition from the European to the Asian side of the world, with a history dating back to the 5th century. Also Üsküdar is one of the oldest and most historic urban centers of Istanbul, with deep-rooted cultural, and architectural heritage.
Kentaş plays an active role in strategically important initiatives through the writing, planning, management, and monitoring of projects carried out within its scope. Kentaş carries out activities both on behalf of Üsküdar Municipality and itself in the preparation of national and international grant and funding projects, as well as developing and participating partnerships and consortiums.
Kentaş conducts project development activities based on a data-driven approach in the fields of participation and governance, gender equality and inclusion, youth, employment and entrepreneurship, urban resilience, climate change adaptation, and urban technologies.
